In 2020, The number of connected devices is expected to reach 50 billion devices together with Internet of Things(IoT) devices. Most of these devices have limited CPU, power and memory. Also these devices must communicate securely. However, conventional cryptographic algorithms are not appropriate for these devices. Therefore lightweight cryptographic algorithms have been proposed to provide information security. In this presentation, lightweight cryptographic algorithms, standards and connection with 5G are explained in detail.
